OVERPORT PARK

Public BBQ

Tucked away on Overport Road, this sprawling recreational haven might test your navigation skills initially, but persistence pays off handsomely. The fenced playground immediately signals this park's family-first philosophy - no chasing toddlers into traffic here, thank goodness. Well-maintained bush tracks weave through the grounds, offering respite from suburban sprawl, while proper sporting ovals cater to weekend warriors wielding footballs and cricket bats. Tennis courts add another dimension for the racquet-inclined, and the dog-friendly sections ensure four-legged family members aren't forgotten. Picnic tables dot the landscape alongside essential facilities including toilets - always appreciated by parents. The open walking tracks provide space to stretch legs and clear heads, all within a reassuringly safe environment that lets families actually relax rather than constantly supervise.
